Cookies or Brains Updates for Registered Participants

We are just 4 days away from Cookies or BRAAAAIIIINNSS? Girl Scout Zombie Apocalypse! We wanted to share some important information for those attending the program this Sunday, September 29 at Camp Kettle Run.

Girls and adults MUST bring their own sack dinner and water bottle to the event that they will have to carry with them all day. Dinner WILL NOT be provided. Refrigeration and microwaves are not available. Make sure to bring lots of zombie-themed SWAPS to the event. The event is rain or shine. Arrive in appropriate clothing, including closed-toe shoes and socks and layers – it will be chilly in the evening. Remember you will be doing A LOT of walking on Sunday. Please feel free to come in zombie or survivalist costume and makeup. We will provide very basic zombie makeup to girls who are interested. Makeup will stain clothing, so dress accordingly.

Registration will begin at 12:30 PM on Sunday. Please arrive no later than 12:45 pm to ensure that you have time to check in and make it to your first activity. PLEASE CARPOOL. Parking will be extremely limited.

The event will end at 8 PM. Any parent who is picking up their daughter needs to be sure to arrive no later than 8 PM. Troop leaders will be responsible for staying with girls until their parents arrive to pick them up.

Any last minute questions can be sent to ksmith@gscsnj.org. Please also send me an email at that address to let me know if your daughter has any serious allergies or medical conditions that Girl Scout staff should be aware of.

We encourage all participants – adults and girls, to talk about the event on social media using #GSZombies on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Please also find us on all three platforms – Twitter and Instagram @GSCSNJ and on Facebook at Girl Scouts of Central & Southern NJ.

Finally, please check out this great video that some of our older Girl Scouts made just for this event http://youtu.be/ZOhZq40ppdk. Please share it with your troops and daughters!
